Our robot was designed based on the motion of a dragon opening and closing its mouth. Since we named ourselves Team KAV Dragon, we decided to build our robot around this theme. It proved very useful in the mission, completing almost all the tasks. The claw was constructed using gears and support beams, making it both functional and strong.

We had designed a strong and compact frame for stability and geared mechanisms to improve movement precision.

Mission: object pickup/drop of points of mission elements randomly positioned on the mat.
Our robot was built to simulate an automated car garage system for sorting and storing vehicles. It was programmed to pick up randomly placed vehicle, release the locking mechanism using the dragon mouth to secure it, and then transport it to the storage area. Our design focus on reliability, smooth navigation on the mission mat and perform the tasks consistently within the limited competition time.  We kept the design simple and compact.
